WHAT TYPES OF TIMBER ARE BEST FOR EXTERNAL WOODEN DOORS?

As with all of our products we offer engineered Redwood, Grandis hardwood, Accoya and European Oak for our doors – in some circumstances we might even mix the timber such as a Redwood frame and Grandis door.

Our recommendation, for durability against everyday life, is hardwood - which by its very name is denser and more durable to the stresses and strains that pets, children, shopping bags etc provide on a daily basis. However, the choice is entirely yours.
