WHEN REPLACING A WOODEN ENTRANCE DOOR; SHOULD THE FRAME BE REPLACED TOO?

Our answer to that is yes - ideally they should be. Our door sets are designed and manufactured to work together to ensure the best levels of insulation and security.

Whilst it possible to hang new doors into old frames there is no guarantee that they will be weather tight - often the frames will have warped and twisted and trying to hang a pertly straight and square into it usually means that there a re gaps that are difficult to seal effectively.

It is also difficult to retro fit modern multipoint looks into frames that have already been chopped into and altered over the preceding years.

For peace of mind we recommend door and frame but if it is just a new door into the old frame we can do that too - but with limited warranties.
