18TH CENTURY HALL GETS NEW SASH WINDOWS AND A NEW FRONT DOOR
What a beautiful house!
Many of the windows in this house still have working wooden shutters instead of curtains. It was essential therefore to replace the old sash windows with new, double-glazed sash windows of the same depth, outside-to-inside.
So this was a job for Heritage sash windows - these have narrow double-glazed units which are only 14mm thick and this saving x 2 sashes allows the frame to be nearly 30mm thinner than the conventional sash window and a perfect match to the window reveals.
The windows were fitted with weights and pulleys and our joiners skilfully removed and re-fitted the old timber shutters.
Completing the front of the property was a new hardwood double entrance door-set.
