SASH WINDOWS IN EXPOSED LOCATIONS
One of the tremendous attributes that our timber sliding sash windows have is their ability to withstand high windows and driving rain. This is thanks to a hidden double weather-seal around the sashes. Insulation is a combination of preventing air leakage and draughts and stopping heat-loss through walls, ceilings or glass. The insulation properties of the sealed units in our windows reduces heat-loss through the glass by 80% compared to single glazing whilst the prevention of draughts is equally important. Our windows are weather-tested to the exacting standards of British Standard BS6375 to ensure optimum performance.

This installation, completed in January, included two double-windows in a prominent position, high up in the Tyne Valley, near Corbridge, Northumberland. As with so many of our installations, within 6 months of the first phase of work we were back there installing the next phase.
