ALUMINIUM-CLAD TIMBER WINDOWS IN DURHAM
The Planners were insisting on something very modern-looking for a new-build extension onto a very old stone-built barn conversion. The home-owners favoured the look and feel of real wood inside. We were able to come up with the perfect solution - aluminium-clad timber windows and doors. Danish-made wooden flush casement windows fully finished in white but with an outer shell of hard-wearing powder-coated aluminium in anthracite grey.
The focal point of the building is the main family room with high ceilings and a stunning view out over fields and woodland.
One of the special features of this window system is the position of the trickle vents which are tucked neatly into the frame jamb with a press-to-open cover and no visible canopy on the outside. Very stylish!
