SLIDING SASH WINDOWS IN MIDLOTHIAN, SCOTTISH BORDERS

The key to this installation was to replace 100-year-old windows with new double-glazed timber sash windows which looked just like the originals. Careful surveying and window design enabled us to tuck much of the sash window framing behind the stone reveals so that we replicated the glass area of the old windows. The other dimensions of the windows - meeting rail width, bottom rail height and so-on are just the same as on the old windows.
