STORMPROOF CASEMENT BAY WINDOW IN JESMOND, NEWCASTLE
Our task with this installation was to replace the upstairs bay window with one that closely matched the ground floor bay, installed a few years by others. Careful, precise measurement of the bay windows and the angles between them is the key to a successful bay window like this.
We specified 12mm antiqued lead diamonds for the windows which comprised 4 opening sashes and 6 fixed sashes. This photo illustrates the benefits of having fixed- or dummy sashes where the window doesn't open - direct-glazed frames would have looked completely unbalanced and at odds with the opening lights alongside.
