Timber Windows

What a view! We were delighted to win the job of replacing the old windows of this large farmhouse nestling on the border between Northumberland and Scotland and so were our joiners. We installed double glazed timber sash windows over a 2-week period in May and the weather was excellent (most of the time).

High ceilings and large rooms with single-glazed, draughty sash windows made this home a little less cosy than it might have been. Our sash windows carry a double weather-seal all round to prevent draughts and the double-glazing reduces the loss of heat by over 70%. Meanwhile the traditional design and method of construction maintains the aesthetic appeal of these very British windows.
